Elevating Transit: The Future of Air Mobility
Explore answers to frequently asked questions for seamless navigation and quick insights.
What is Advanced Air Mobility (AAM)?
AAM refers to innovative air transport solutions for people and products, focusing on next-generation safety and efficiency. Various types of advanced air vehicles (Verticraft) enable the seamless on-demand. movement
What is a Verticraft?
Verticraft is a term for Linx Mobility aircraft capable of vertical takeoff and landing (also classified as powered-lift by the FAA) that employs advanced technologies to serve the Advanced Air Mobility ecosystem. Linx Mobility makes it easy to connect people, products, and places through the use of advanced Verticraft as well as services to connect.
To us, a Verticraft should be agnostic to what it is doing or carrying. The Verticraft should just transport a module from one point to another point.
What is a Vertiport?
Vertiports are the FAA-designated term for landing places for vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (VTOL) including Verticraft. Linx Mobility is in the process of developing Vertiports for the use of Verticraft and other VTOL/STOL/Helicopter aircraft.
What areas does Linx Mobility currently serve?
We currently serve the Mobility on Demand (MOD) or Mobility as a Service (MaaS) markets, providing on-demand Verticraft services to connect people, products, and places.
What is Mobility on Demand (MOD)/Mobility as a Service (MaaS)?
Mobility on Demand (MOD) is the term given by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) is “an innovative, user-focused approach which leverages emerging mobility services, integrated transit networks and operations, real-time data, connected travelers, and cooperative integrated transportation systems to allow for a more traveler-centric transportation system-of-systems approach, providing improved mobility options to all travelers and users of the system in an efficient and safe manner.”
Mobility as a Service (MaaS) is a more European term for the same concept of advanced, on-demand transportation.
What is a module (Mod)?
Linx Mobility believes the way the AAM ecosystem becomes a viable and integral part of society is to separate the Verticraft from the module. The module (Mod) is the component or container that is transported from point to point. This Mod could be a TaxiMod, FreightMod, MediMod, SARMod, AutoMod, FireMod, or many other variants to provide the perfect module for the vehicle.
Can Linx Mobility help reduce transit time?
Yes, our solutions are designed to minimize travel times and optimize routes for faster connectivity.
